Toronto Life uses video to promote cover story on embattled Ontario AG Michael Bryant

Toronto Life has produced a video promoting its September issue and its cover story on Michael Bryant. The story, by Leah McLaren, promises new details about the Ontario attorney general who was arrested and charged and later acquitted after a horrendous encounter with a cyclist, who died in the incident.

The use of professionally produced videos to promote circulation is a relatively recent development (we recently had a post about Wedding Bells magazine using a video to promote its fashion shoot in Newfoundland.)

I applaud Toronto Life, Flare, Wedding Bells and any other mag that is utilizing out-of-the-box thinking to promote their magazines. We all need to shift our thinking to new ways to promote, sell and produce magazines.
