Saskatoon indy band The Sheepdogs wins people's choice and cover of Rolling Stone

The Saskatoon band The Sheepdogs has come first in the promotional competition to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

The band beat out 15 other competitors to win Rolling Stone's "Do You Wanna Be A Rock & Roll Star" contest [says a post on CBC.ca] which let readers select an emerging musical act to be on the magazine's cover. The winner was announced Monday.

The issue is to be on newsstands at the end of the week.
