Um, just like a small group of people — police officers — are responsible for maintaining order and keeping our cities safe?
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind, they are "guidelines", just a collective agreement from industry people who are offering publishers a standard to work from. Would it be more attractive to call them "best practices" as they do in other industries? That's really what they are. In fact, nobody is "policing" anybody. They, ASME, have no enforcement capacity
ReplyDeleteI would guess Mr. Poer isn't too worried about the longevity of your media brand. But that's your call of course.
