Amy Rosen named food editor of Canadian House & Home magazine

Starting with the September issue (available on newsstands August 3), Amy Rosen will be the food editor of Canadian House & Home (H&H) and Maison & Demeure (M&D) magazines. Rosen has been a frequent contributor to publications such as Maclean's and Chatelaine in Canada, and to Food & Wine in the U.S., as well as The Globe and Mail and the National Post. She has her own blog and will also be blogging on the Houseandhome.com website and contribute to House & Home Television, now available online.
"H&H food is a growing section in our magazine, and always a favourite segment on H&H TV," says Lynda Reeves, House & Home Media President. "Amy's energy and love of food will be a great plus for our brand."

Not as good as Style at Home's Donna Hay. Now THAT was a real score.

I had a much different reaction when I read Donna Hay was named food editor at Style at Home--disappointment. Why use over-exposed D.H. instead of one of the many wonderful food writers in Canada? False economy, for sure.
Congratulations to Amy and to CH & H.

Really, you haven't figured out that Donna Hay's content has been syndicated for S@H? Kinda lame.

I guess I see the Donna Hay partnership as a way we can have access to her gorgeous photography and recipes without having to pay ridiculous amounts to subscribe to her mag. I still give kudos to Style ... who cares if Donna's not Canadian? She's still brilliant.
