Kingston Life features an inside look at KP, Canada's most notorious -- now empty -- prison

Kingston Life has a spread of haunting photos taken inside the recently decommissioned Kingston Penitentiary by photographer Tim Forbes. The assignment was is an auspicious start for new editor Danielle VandenBrink.

The limestone pile has been around 180 years and has housed some of the most infamous prisoners in Canada, including Clifford Olson, Paul Bernardo and, more recently, Mohammad and Hamed Shafia. The e-edition of the magazine is available online.
