Small truths: writers' incomes

The average, published fiction writer in Canada earns an average of about $500 a year in royalties. That, and a number of other sometimes startling nuggets, were part of an interesting post on the Descant magazine blog by co-editor Lesley Kenny. She was quick to explain that averages can mislead. But still...
