The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, a national charity, is launching a new, bi-monthly magazine Love is Moving, aimed at Canadian Christian youth. It was test-marketed as a digital edition for two years and now 20,000 print copies will be distributed nationwide, bundled with EFC's magazine Faith Today for a joint subscription price of $29.99 a year. The content of each issue will include a four-page journal section, derived from an app-based curriculum used by church youth groups. The EFC said in a release it is investing in this new initiative in order to cultivate the spiritual health of the next generation. It found in a 2011 study that: only one in three young people who attended church still do; among those who have left the church, 50% no longer identify with the Christian tradition; and that "youth and young adults agree that experiencing the power of God's love is crucial for developing a lasting faith."
