Mastheadonline reports today on the Maclean's party celebrating its 100th, noting that only Ted Rogers and Ken Whyte actually mentioned the magazine during the highly scripted event.
Hey -- get over to Thisblog and comment on the Maclean's post mortem. Doesn't everyone care what people not affiliated with the magazine think about it? I sure do.
I would have thought that buying a copy was all the qualification a reader needs to be able to comment on the magazine. Beware a siege mentality -- good editors listen to the readers, as well as talk.

Whyte evidently hasn't noticed he's got some women in his employ:
"We’re in the process of assembling what I believe is, man for man, the best journalistic organization in the country."
Nice.
strangest thing is that he loves surrounding himself with women...
Actually, out here in the real world, several of the tightly-scripted speakers mentioned the magazine.
Point taken, though once again you don't seem to be able to make a point without icing it with an insult.
