Another upscale men's magazine to debut
A new quarterly men's magazine called Prelude is to debut in April. According to a story in Media in Canada, it's going to start off small, with 5,000 copies in Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary and Banff.
The numbers will jump to about 20,000 for the June issue. Lucid Media co-owner and Prelude publisher Dean Jessop tells MiC distribution will eventually include Vancouver. "We will be national by fall, and I want to be in at least the northern part of the US by this time next year," he says. "By year two, we'll be at least bi-monthly, if not monthly."The magazine's media kit is available here.
Labels: men's magazines, Prelude

5,000 free circulation and a page rate of $6,500. That's a CPM of like a gazillion dollars! Must be some fancy paper stock.
This is going to be ugly. Put the Grim Reaper on standby.
So... will this be a paid circulation magazine or will there be models in the TTC handing the magazine to men for each issue?
that cover! woof!
looks like an tabloid-y ad for cialis.
"looks like an tabloid-y ad for cialis."
So does the web site. In fact, its difficult to take it seriously.
The first line on the website:
"PUBLICER'S STATEMENT"
Where do I begin??
No contact information on the media kit either. Wow. These guys are all class!
If this mag is connected to Dean Jessop, bad news, I'm afraid. Bad news.
