Dance Current celebrates 10 years

Dance Current magazine, which started out as a little volunteer-run newsletter for the Toronto dance community, is celebrating 10 years as Canada's national dance magazine, by dancers for dancers. It will be celebrating with a gala celebration on Sunday, June 8th, 5pm–7pm in the Fountain Room, National Arts Centre, Ottawa; the event is co-hosted by Canadian Dance Assembly and Canada Dance Festival
"When the magazine started, I made a commitment that it had to be frequent and consistent in order to provide a tangible ongoing presence for our evanescent artform," says Megan Andrews, the publisher and founding editor. "I’m proud that we have achieved this over the past ten years. The communityhas truly been on board since the beginning and I definitely see this as a collective success!"
