Newspaper team assembles 50 favourite magazines list

Those for whom lists can, at the same time, engage and annoy will be interested in the 50 favourite magazines list created by a team from the Chicago Tribune. "We like magazines that instruct, entertain, take us places we'd otherwise never know," says the Tribune staff team.

Canadian magazines do not make it, natch (although a couple of British ones do). And, like all such lists, it is somewhat arbitrary. But if you come across a title you haven't looked at...what the heck.
