Atlantic Journalism Awards deadline January 30

The deadline for the Atlantic Journalism Awards is Friday, January 30, 2009, and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner May 2, 2009 at the Delta Beauséjour Hotel in Moncton NB. (This follows a day of professional development workshops). Entries must be by journalists in Atlantic Canada and must have been published in magazines or newspapers or broadcast in the region's radio or television stations during 2008.

Three finalists will be selected in each category will be announced in early April 2009. Magazine-related cateories include best article, best cover, best profile article, photojournalism, commentary and the Jim MacNeill new journalist award.
