Magazines' amazing capacity to adapt
There is absolutely no reason to think that most magazines and the industry itself won’t be able to adapt again, now, in the face of all that we’re dealing with. That’s as true for a larger consumer magazine as it is for a literary journal with 300 subscribers.-- From a keynote speech by D. B. Scott delivered to the Atlantic Magazines Association conference in Halifax, Sunday March 29.

Quoting yourself? Bit silly, no?
Sorry you feel that way. Merely a device to direct people to the full text.
Great speech, D.B. Bang on. I hope everyone in the business reads it.
Anonymous--A number of us who heard DB's speech in person pushed him to post it as well, since we thought it deserved wide distribution. And I second Patrick's comment--I hope everyone reads it.
Many thanks for posting that D.B. I was anxious to see the presentation, after Kim Pittaway tweeted about it recently. :-)
Phillip.
