Blackflash magazine asks for submission of images for a web-sourced issue

There are occasions when magazines reach out to their readers for more than a pair of eyeballs, when they engage them in selecting a cover from a number of choices, for instance. Sometimes it's just a gimmick, but readers often respond with enthusiasm, particularly now that "voting" on something is simply a click away or easily done online.
A variant on this, however, is the Saskatoon-based photography and new media in art magazine Blackflash, which is accepting submissions for its Summer 2010 issue that is to be almost completely sourced from the web. So the images that are submitted have to be ones that the magazine can source (so as to be able to compensate the artists and photographers who created them). The contest deadline (details of entry here) is  April 1st, no fooling.

[Shown is Blackflash's current issue.]
