Reader's Digest partners again, this time in French, with Sympatico
The partnership between Reader's Digest and the web portal Sympatico.ca has been expanded with the RD website Plaisires santé last month becoming the official French health and fitness section of the portal.
The plaisirssante.ca site, which was launched in January, is the French language counterpart to the very successful magazine-based site besthealthmag.ca, which became Sympatico's designated English health and fitness section in September 2009.
Both Best Health and Plaisirs Sante (which is online, but also featured in RD's French equivalent Selection) are aimed at the health, lifestyle and fitness interests of women 25 to 50. The plaisirssante.ca site, which was launched in January, is the French language counterpart to the very successful magazine-based site besthealthmag.ca, which became Sympatico's designated English health and fitness section in September 2009.
According to a RD press release, plaisirssante.ca drew over 300,000 visitors and more than 1.5 million pages views in its first month.
It is not coincidental that the success of the cross platform partnership is one of the reasons that Kat Tancock, who had helped launch Best Health online as web and communities editor (and before that web editor of Canadian Living) was recently promoted to be senior web editor at Reader's Digest.
