Penny Caldwell of Cottage Life wins CSME's editor of the year award
The Canadian Society of Magazine Editors (CSME) announced last night that Penny Caldwell, the editor of Cottage Life magazine as Editor of the Year at its 2010 Editors' Choice Awards
This Magazine, Cottage Life, Canadian Geographic, and Design Edge took home the titles of Magazine of the Year, in the small-, medium-, and large-circulation, and trade magazine categories. Cottage Life also won the award for Best Web Site.
Design Edge was a double-winner, also earning the Best Front of the Book title. Rounding out the awards portion of the gala evening, held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, as part of the MagNet conference, Homemakers editor Kathy Ullyott accepted the Jim Cormier Award for Best Display Writing.

I interviewed Penny for a story I wrote in J-School a few years ago. By far she was the nicest and most helpful person out of all the industry people I contacted.
