The Kit fashion and beauty online/print publication, names new editor-in-chief
The Kit, the online and print fashion and beauty publication owned by Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd., has announced the appointment of a new editor-in-chief -- Christine Loureiro, formerly the deputy Life editor at the Toronto Star.
She replaces Doug Wallace, the editor for The Kit since it was founded in September 2010 as a digital-only beauty magazine. While relinquishing the title editor, Wallace remains as Chief Content Officer associate publisher, content.
The Kit's founding publisher, Giorgina Bigioni, said:
“Christine will be refreshing our creative mandate with new ideas to bring our audience the type of engaging, how-to-itive info they’ve come to rely on. She’s just what The Kit needs right now: a smart journalist with a great eye and passion for beauty and fashion.”

Kudos to the KIT for their innovative style. I hope the announced changes at the top don't signal a lesser role for Wallace... I'm a big fan.
