Get a second opinion
Perhaps this explains why other countries don't understand Canadians very well -- it's the source of their information. Mark Steyn, late of the National Post, now inexplicably writing his rants thinly disguised as reviews on the books page of Maclean's, syndicates his views far and wide. Here's what he was telling the readers of The Australian about the Harper election. Good grief.

On the other hand, if you actually enjoy a good conservative rant, you could subscribe to the Western Standard and get your fix of Mark Steyn every other week. By the way, BrainStone Communications is now representing this lively newsmagazine for national advertising.
Hey DB,
Thanks for the link. The question is: Will the Harper Conservatives surprise us by actually supporting the arts, and magazines in particular, to prove to media types that they aren't philistines?
Or will they live up to our low expectations and be predictably insensitive?
What's a "good" conservative rant?
Oh never mind. What's the point.
