Canadian Homestead rebrands
as Canadian Home Trends
Canadian Homestead magazine, the Manitoba-based shelter and design title, has rebranded itself Canadian Home Trends. The new look and name is being unveiled for the February/March issue, although the transition has already begun on the magazine's web pages.
Founded in 1997, the magazine is published bi-monthly out of Blumenort, Manitoba. The magazine is aimed at decor enthusiasts and casts a fairly wide net editorially, covering renovations, decor and design, gardening, food, travel and education. The company also publishes a wedding magazine.
"The new name, Canadian Home Trends better represents our classy and modern urban magazine our readers have grown to love and the great Canadian content and chic designer spaces featured in our high gloss publication," said editor Mark Atiyolil. The original name was always a bit of a misnomer, speaking less of Debbie Travis and sprontzy kitchens and more of roughing it in the bush.

Thousands of covers on the newsstand and they are hoping that that poorly designed cover will stand out? Ouch.
ditto. it looks like it should be free in a box next to that other home decor magazine i read when i'm waiting for the GO train.
I've recently read this magazine cover to cover, and I think the content sets it miles apart from the competitors. I love to see new, fresh, 100% Canadian magazines. Way to go!
I bought this magazine at Loblaws yesterday and I have to say, "what a great Canadian magazine!!" It's great to see such a great magazine pubished here in Canada.
