Source Interlink denies it's exiting single copy business

Weirder and weirder developments on the U.S. single copy front (see earlier post), according to a report in Mediaweek:
  • The president of Source Interlink, Jim Gillis, denies reports that the company is shutting down its wholesale business, but accuses publishers Curtis, AMI, Bauer and Time of working "in lockstep" to force wholesalers out of business;
  • Comag president Mike Sullivan says his company is still supplying Source and Anderson News, contrary to a story in Folio: (and despite the fact that the story was based on an anonymous source at Comag);
