Quote, unquote: magazines tell people's stories

“I think magazines will always exist. Because people are eager to write and tell their stories. And if they can’t get it published in a mainstream way, they make up their own way.”
-- John Freeman, the new acting editor of the British international magazine Granta, quoted in an article in the National Post. Freeman was in Toronto as part of a North American tour, shortly after he took over the editorship, along with Toronto expat and Granta senior editor Rosalind Porter. Freeman had been the American editor of Granta since December.
