Open for business: stylish kiosk for selling magazines and newspapers
We don't know whether it would make more people buy magazines and newspapers, but this very stylish, bronze-clad Paperhouse newsstand kiosk is by Heatherwick Studio in Britain and is featured in the Great Ideas issue of Azure magazine. You'll find a slide show that shows the clam-like stand opening up.
The kiosk design was commissioned by Kensington & Chelsea Council and two of them have been installed, at Earl's Court tube station and at Sloane Square; two more are planned.
