Quote, unquote: on the legacy of the Toronto Miller mayoralty
We have what may arguably be the greenest city on the continent, shrinking crime rates, reduced business taxes, safer streets, less homelessness, a more inclusive city, a building boom downtown, a police chief who doesn’t wage war on his citizens, expanding public transit, an arts-positive atmosphere and an enthusiasm and vigour on our streets and boulevards that were unimaginable just 10 years ago.-- Michael Hollett, publisher and co-editor of NOW magazine, commenting in the September 30 edition on the announcement by David Miller that he will not run again as mayor of Toronto

Why is this post in a blog about magazines, apart from the fact that the quotation comes from a Canadian magazine publisher? And would this blog publish a quotation by a Canadian magazine publisher stating that David Miller is a deceptive, arrogant tyrant under whose rule public-sector unions have tightened their grasp on the throats of Torontonians?
Actually, yes.
There's two words that have made David Miller a genuine godsend...
...Mel Lastman.
To D.B.: I'll believe it when I read it.
Link me to a quote from a magazine editor anywhere in Canada who shares your views and I will post it.
