AZURE magazine unveils new look, smaller size

New look
Azure, the Toronto-based design and architecture magazine, has come out with a completely redesigned look and a new size.

Having in recent years been over-sized, the magazine is moving to a more standard magazine format (9 x 11.5 inches) ; where before its logo, while bold and assertive was up in the left corner of the cover, now it dominates the cover in a reworked custom face.  The tagline has been changed to “Design / Architecture Interiors / Curiosity”.

The redesign was undertaken by Toronto's Concrete Design and Communications.

Old look
AZURE wasn’t broken – we didn’t have to fix it,” says editor Nelda Rodger in a release. “The magazine was beautiful and successful and we were still in love with our old logo, also designed by Concrete Design Communications back in 1993. The decision to shake things up was a vote of confidence in the future for both our print and digital expressions.”
