Owners like to read magazines on their iPads, but leave home without them
A British survey of iPad owners says that it was considered the number one delivery method for magazines and newspapers. According to an article in eMarketer, 41% of respondents to the survey by copywriting firm Cooper Murphy Webb preferred to read on the device while 36% liked hard copy better. Interestingly, they didn't find the device very portable: 60% said they rarely or never took their iPad when they left home; only 5% did so always.
The same article reports that research from Ball State University found that iPad owners found them ideal for content consumption, but too difficult for content creation.
