Dandyhorse magazine looking for volunteers and web contributors
The August/September issue of Toronto's Dandyhorse magazine, which describes itself as Canada's only arts and culture magazine for people who ride bikes, will be guest edited by celebrity chef Bob Blumer of the Food Network.
Dandyhorse is a wholly volunteer-run publication and has put out a call for volunteers to help it 5 - 8 hours a week (including weekends) with events, selling magazines and dealing with retailers and promoting the brand; and web contributors to take pictures, profile shops and interview people cycling in the streets. Successful candidates will be featured contributors in the magazine's first, online issue next winter.

Is this even legal. I would never do that.
What does this pay? If it pays $0, then that should be made explicit.
It doesn't pay...I hope someone takes a look at this model...RRJ perhaps could do an article. This is far worse than not paying an intern.
Aw c'mon. What part of "wholly volunteer run" don't you guys understand? If you're not interested, you can just stay home.
If you write for free you are a BIG part of the problem. Don't do it.
I think there's a difference between unpaid work and volunteering. Just sayin'
I think if you are selling ads and creating a publication you should be paying those people who are "volunteering"
