Vogue EIC Wintour named as artistic director for all of Condé Nast
Anna Wintour, the EIC of Vogue and editorial director of Teen Vogue has been given an additional role of being artistic director for all of Condé Nast. Wintour may thereby further build on her reputation for being a demanding boss, we suppose, as she was represented in “The Devil Wears Prada.”
Editors in the company have been pushing back somewhat since the announcement. One source sniffed to Women's Wear Daily: “We have a lot of autonomy as editors. No one wants to see that go away. People need a little more clarity.”

But noted protégé Amy Astley of Teen Vogue said
“She’s been a real mentor, and I think other editors will find that she can help them, too. She says what she thinks directly to your face and she’s incisive. Those are all things that may be helpful, especially to editors who are unsure. She will always zero in on the best picture or the superfluous spread in a story.”
