Courtesy of The Star's Antonia Zerbisias's prolific blog, we learn that gossip-monger Shinan Govani of the National Post has broken the story that St. Joseph Media (publishers of Toronto Life, Fashion magazine, Fashion 18 and Wish) are attempting to stop the Star from publishing its fashion line extension Fashion Extra (due out imminently), reported here on January 24.

The Post's in-house gossip boy Shinan Govani, who has recently gone five days a week and has become deliciously bitchy instead of kitschy-kissy, tells the tale of how St. Joseph Media, which publishes Toronto Life and Fashion, has issued a cease-and-desist order to Torstar because we're planning -- I didn't even know about this -- a new magazine called Fashion Extra. Seems that St. Joe's people feel they own the name.
