Modern Dog answers the question "Do I look like my dog?"

Modern Dog magazine asked Stanley Coren, the noted dog behaviour expert, to write an article in its Fall 2007 issue about whether people look like their dogs. Apparently, the answer is yes.

"Actually, there are scientific explanations for why people might have a preference for dogs that look something like themselves, " says Coren. "The data is quite clear that, at least when dealing with people, we certainly prefer those who are similar to us."

The cover subject of the fall issue is actress Emanuelle Vaugier and her toy poodle Lily. We don't see the resemblance. On the other hand...
