Magazines on the web -- new websites at
House & Home and This Magazine
House & Home Media has relaunched its Canadian House & Home website with a number of new features about home design and food, a passel of new blogs including a "Finds and Trends" done by various staffers and a number of new photo galleries. The new site at once seems to give more information and a less cluttered impression and has been unveiled coincident with the release of the magazine's June issue.
This Magazine, which has recently rolled out its redesigned print magazine in full colour, has now launched a brand new website, at a new address. The old address (thismagazine.ca) still works, but the new design comes from this.org which will become the main website for the magazine's content.
The previously rather dour and old-fashioned website has been superseded by light, bright and feature-packed pages that (not before time) provide RSS feeds and comments on articles.

"Our experience over the last little while has been that people still like and value having This Magazine in print, and the type of journalism our talented and passionate contributors work so hard to do," wrote editor Graham Scott*. "At the same time, we feel it’s important to establish a more robust, meaningful, and two-way web presence, and this.org is the start of that."Articles from each issue of the six-times-a-year mag will be put up one by one until the next print issue comes out. (We imagine that this issue's cover story about the indispensable nature of nuclear power will cause some talk.)
