Tablet and e-reader owners spend 50% more time reading magazines, survey reports
A survey reports that people who own tablets like the iPad and e-readers spend 50% more time reading magazines than non-owners of such devices.
The survey was conducted by market research firm the Harrison Group, digital magazine vendor Zinio and Qualcomm, which manufactures mobile devices. The story was reported by Folio:.
(While the results are interesting, it must be remembered that these are exciting and relatively new devices (which users tend to enjoy using) and that the base of magazine apps is relatively narrow, though growing.)
80% of these device owners are comfortable with digital payment systems for their subs and one in three prefer purchasing single copies of publications. There may be more detail available in the report itself, which can be purchased from Harrison for a mere $1,999.
