The winners of the third annual Emerge Media Awards (EMAs) were announced Monday night at the event’s awards ceremony in Toronto. Designed to celebrate and showcase the achievements of journalism, media studies and communications students in Canada, the EMAs seek to recognize the best writing, editing, videography, audio, graphic design, communications and public relations work at the postsecondary level.

The Emerge Awards and the associated conference are presented by the University of Guelph-Humber, a partnership between the University of Guelph and the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
