Virtue may be reward, but a prize is nice, too

With more and more Canadian magazines taking the plunge into various environment-friendly production practices (vegetable-based inks, ancient forest-friendly paper), perhaps it is time to strut their stuff. One way would be to enter the competition for the 2nd annualAveda Environmental Award for environmental leadership in magazine production. Deadline is August 31 and the awards will be made at the Folio: Show in October, with winners promoted in Folio:'s January 2007 issue.

There are two categories, based on circulation: over and under 250,000. The entry fee is US$75 for the first entry, $50 for each subsequent. You can download the application here then fax or e-mail it to frank@coopamerica.org.
