Who tells who gets what? You do

Masthead magazine annually compiles the results of a salary survey. While it is not scientifically valid in that it is self-selecting and not taken from a genuine random sample, it is still one of the best and only sources of such information available. It can be made even more so if enough people on Canadian magazines take the time to fill out the easy questionnaire; either the one that came with the current issue (which can be mailed back) or online (at mastheadonline.com).

Due to flaws in Masthead's research techniques, on behalf of our magazine, I must refuse to participate.

I assume this is an ironic reference to the Canadian universities' refusal to fill out the Maclean's questionnaire. If it's not, why don't you be more specific? Not filling this out would seem to be a case of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Yes, D.B. I was making a reference to Maclean's.
