Panelists to question Canada's role in leading the G20 charge on maternal health

This Magazine and rabble.ca are hosting a panel discussion on the G8/G20 agenda on global maternal health. "Does Canada have any business leading the charge on these issues" the promo asks? "Shouldn't we look in our own backyard first?"
The event is on Wednesday; June 16 at Clinton's Tavern, 693 Bloor Street West in Toronto 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.It's a pay-what-you-can event, with a suggested donation of $5.
We think this will be a lively and provocative discussion, so for our Toronto-area readers, please come and participate! Judy Rebick will moderate a discussion with: Josephine Grey of Low-Income Families Together; Robert Fox, Executive Director of Oxfam Canada, and Toronto Star reporter and commentator Antonia Zerbisias.
For those outside of Toronto, the panel will  be live-streamed and a video of the discussion will be made available sometime after.
This Magazine, whose offices are inside the security perimeter for the G20, has put up a micro-blog called G20.this.org to which anyone can contribute.
