Sharp magazine spins off new biannual called
The Book for Men

Sharp magazine, which we always thought of as a magazine for men, has launched an even glossier line extension, a biannual (fall, spring) called The Book for Men.
According to the publishers, Contempo Media, the 198-page, perfect bound, "ultra-premium" publication is a reference for readers interested in fashion, apparel, electronics, automobiles, accessories, timepieces, information and advice. The publisher of the magazine is John McGouran, the editor and creative director is Michael La Fave.
"I'm proud to say that there's nothing like The Book For Men on the market in Canada...” said La Fave. “Our first edition is just the start of a biannual series that will, over time, become an invaluable reference for Canadian men. Released each spring and fall, The Book For Men, represents an encyclopedia of enduring trends, quality products, sage advice and helpful information."
A 32-page MANual section is "an appendix devoted to advice, tips, tricks and information to help men look better, feel better and know more," the publishers say.
The publication is priced at $14.95 and is available for preview and purchase online at Sharpformen.com, on newsstands across Canada, in bookstores, such as Chapters/Indigo, as well as Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws.
The Book for Men adds to Contempo Media's portfolio of consumer titles and online sites including Sharp magazine,  Sharpformen.com, and TimeandStyle.ca . Contempo is also a custom publisher in print and online and among their corporate customers are Audi Canada, Audi U.S.A. Sympatico.ca  and Volkswagen Canada.
