First time in 26 years, Canadian woman named Playboy Playmate of the Year
Jayde Nicole, 22, of Port Perry, Ontario is Playboy's 2008 Playmate of the Year, the first Canadian since Shannon Tweed in 1982. Playboy has newstand sales of about 315,000 in Canada.Jayde's intoxicating beauty and girl-next-door appeal has made her a local celebrity in her hometown of Port Perry, Ontario, about an hour outside of Toronto. Jayde owns a modeling agency called Jayde Nicole Inc. that she founded in 2005 and had been managing the day-to-day operations of the agency before catching Playboy's eye and landing the title of Miss January 2007.She has also appeared in Today's Bride magazine and on the cover of Mississauga-based American Curves.

Not stupid. Perhaps the stupidity is to put the link in the post in the first place. Interesting, though, that a company based in Mississauga publishes such stuff largely for the U.S. market.
